Residents of Weija Junction in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality have been thrown into shock and fear following the discovery of the lifeless body of an unidentified woman, sparking suspicions of a possible ritual killing.
The deceased was reportedly found naked, with parts of her body mutilated, including her vagina, allegedly missing. The condition of the body has raised concerns that the woman may have been killed at a different location and later dumped at the junction, possibly to make the incident appear like a road accident.
The gruesome discovery has created panic among residents, with some families in the Weija-Gbawe area expressing concern over missing relatives as police begin investigations into the matter.
Police at Weija have since conveyed the body to the police morgue for further examination and autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and cooperate with the police by providing any information that could aid the investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made.
