Fuel Prices Drop: Drivers urged to Resist Hiking Prices This Christmas
The erned Drivers Association of Ghana (CDAG) has thanked President John Dramani Mahama for the recent fuel price reduction and warned drivers against taking advantage of the Christmas season to hike prices unnecessarily.
Fuel prices dropped from GH¢12.69 to GH¢12.50 per litre, while diesel reduced from GH¢13.22 to GH¢12.99 per litre, effective three days ago. Urging drivers to maintain normal prices to ease the burden on passengers.
At a press conference, Paa Willie, President of CDAG, cautioned drivers against short-changing passengers or charging unreasonable fares, especially during the festive season.
He warned drivers not to drive under the influence of alcohol, tramadol, or other hard drugs this Christmas, saying, “Let’s enjoy the festive season with peace and success.” He also advised, “Check your car tyres daily – it’s better to change them than risk unnecessary accidents.”
He also advised drivers to prioritize road safety, check their vehicles daily, and avoid driving under the influence.
The association also expressed gratitude to the Roads and Highways Minister for ongoing road construction projects across the country.
