The former manager of Gospel musician Evangelist Diana Asamoah has now authorised her to perform songs produced under the record label Frimprince Music Production.
After the announcement of their split up, Diana pleaded with her former manager Anane Frimpong, also known as Frimprince, to let her perform her songs in response to a letter confirming their parting.
In a letter dated August 4, 2022, discontinuing the agreement between them, Frimprince in one of the clauses said “ We shall continue to have absolute rights over all works that were produced under the production.”
They include ‘Wo Na Mani Agyina Wo’, ‘Mabowodin’, ‘Akoko Abon’, ‘Madansidie’, ‘Pentecost Gya’, ‘Momomme’, ‘Wo Damu Fua’, ‘Tetelesta’ and ‘Pentecost Soree’.
Among other things, Diana Asamoah is “restricted from referring to Mr Anane Frimpong as your Executive Producer. You will no longer have access to any of our digital platforms.”
The company is also taking ownership of the singer’s verified Facebook page ‘The Evangelist Diana Asamoah’.
Diana Asamoah is also “restricted from using the Frimprince logo on any of your new songs.”
However, speaking on Angel FM Kumasi in an interview monitored by MyNewsGH.com, Frimprince noted that he has accepted a plea from Diana Asamoah to perform songs she recorded with the company.
“She accepted all the claims I made, the only one she didn’t agree with was me banning her from performing her music. But even with that, I have no problem with it. That is cool. I won’t cease her from performing her songs, especially the latest one she did with Dada KD”, Frimprince told Ike de Unpredictable on Angel Drive in an interview.
