The Gomoa East District Police in the Central Region have arrested four suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of a 65-year-old private security guard, Alexander Kwaku Boateng, at Ojobi.
Boateng’s lifeless body was discovered on June 30, 2025, at the site of a One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) project. His head was found wrapped in a plastic bag, with his hands and legs bound—pointing to suffocation as the likely cause of death.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the site’s electricity transformer had been vandalized, resulting in the theft of internal components and electrical cables estimated at GH¢250,000.00 in value.
Following a targeted, intelligence-led operation, police arrested four suspects:

Samuel Larbie, a 28-year-old businessman

Wisdom Sosu, a 32-year-old motor mechanic

Nabil Mohammed

Mahmoud Kadir
Larbie and Sosu have been identified as the main suspects in the alleged murder. Mohammed and Kadir, on the other hand, are believed to have purchased stolen items from the scene, including the deceased’s Infinix Smart 8 mobile phone valued at GH¢1,800.00.
Meanwhile, police say four other individuals suspected of being involved in the crime are still at large and are being actively pursued.
Investigations are ongoing as the police work to bring all perpetrators to justice.
