Fire has ravaged some structures near the railway line at the Kantamanto market, annihilating goods worth hundreds of Ghana cedis.
According to media reports, the fire, which began around 4:35 a.m., has damaged numerous structures in the enclave.
Despite having exhausted several tanks of water, firefighters were seen combating the fire.
Because the firefighters had exhausted their supply of water, affected traders were caught carrying headpans of water in an attempt to quench the fire themselves.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but no casualties have been reported.
