Leader of Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has dismissed the pronouncement by former President John Agyekum Kufuor about Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.
Addressing Ghanaians on Sunday, the former president reaffirmed his endorsement of the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to Mr. Kufuor, with the hardship the whole world is grappling with, Dr. Bawumia will be the ideal person to make an impact.
“I really love him, and I have said recently, which some people don’t seem to agree with. I have observed a lot of things and I see that that man, looking at how things are going in the current world, if we give him the chance to lead the nation, with God’s blessings, he will help Ghana to rise early and make things better,” he said.
Reacting to the former president’s statement during a conversation with Kwesi Parker-Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Alan Kyerematen asserted that Kufuor knows very well that all he said about Bawumia is not true.
“What ex-President Kufour did would create a blot on his political career. See how people are insulting him.” he said.
Alan questioned Bawumia’s previous work before entering him into politics.
“What has Bawumia done? What was he doing before he was brought into politics? President Kufour knows that what he said is not true. He should listen, or somebody who is watching should tell him.” Alan asserted.
