Rev. Fr. Pascal Affum, Assistant Parish Priest at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Awoshie-Anyaa, has emphasized that spreading the Good News of Christ goes beyond preaching and holding microphones.
Speaking during a church service where some students received First Communion and Baptism, Fr. Affum highlighted that each individual has a unique role to play in representing Christ and also urged them to embody Christ’s presence in their daily lives.
“You have been called to bring peace, joy, and hope to those around you,” Fr. Affum said. “Some of you have been called to bring peace to the married life of your parents, while others have been called to help other segments of the earth. All of you have unique gifts to share.”

Fr. Pascal Affum, the local manager of St. Francis of Assisi Cath School encouraged the students to lift the flag of Christ and represent Him well, regardless of where they are in the world. “You are not just representing Ghana, but the family of Christ,” he emphasized.
The priest also reminded the students that being an ambassador for Christ requires living out their faith in their daily lives and interactions. “If you know what is good, do it, whether you are at home, in school, or wherever you find yourself,” he said.
