Socialite Efia Odo has issued a heartfelt apology to Stonebwoy for her contentious comments during the recent Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
In the heat of the moment, Efia Odo sparked debate by suggesting that Stonebwoy, a seasoned artist, shouldn’t win the Artiste of the Year award simply to match the achievements of his peers. Instead, she passionately advocated for King Promise, the younger and vibrant artist, to take home the coveted prize.
But speaking on Accra-based UTV, she apologised saying “I acknowledge that my comments about Stonebwoy were disrespectful, and I take full responsibility for them. I spoke out of emotion, and I retract my statements and sincerely apologize.”
She added, “I wanted a significant platform to express my apology, and this is the opportunity. The truth is, I feel Stonebwoy is bigger than the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. I believe he deserves even greater recognition, like being on the Grammy stage.”
