The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that a rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
The decision follows a directive from the Tamale High Court, issued on Monday, November 24, 2025, ordering that a fresh election be held within 30 days. The EC also confirmed receiving official communication from the Clerk to Parliament on December 8, 2025, declaring the Kpandai parliamentary seat vacant and paving the way for the rerun.
According to the Commission, the upcoming election will feature only the three candidates who contested the constituency’s parliamentary race in 2024.
Sharing the update, Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation at the EC, called on residents of Kpandai to mark the date and participate fully in the process.
The Commission assured the public of its readiness to conduct a transparent, credible, and peaceful poll in line with the court’s instructions.
