The Adenta Circuit Court has granted GH₵100,000 bail to self-styled prophet Ebo Noah, with two sureties, one of whom is required to be justified.
Speaking to the media after court proceedings on Thursday, January 15, 2026, counsel for Ebo Noah confirmed that the court initially ordered that one of the sureties be justified with landed property.
“The court has granted him bail. Two sureties are required, one of which must be justified with a house or landed property. However, I pleaded with the court because securing landed property as surety can take time,” the lawyer explained.
According to him, the presiding judge accepted the plea and allowed a vehicle to be presented as an alternative form of justification.
The lawyer also disclosed that the psychiatric report earlier requested by the court—following Ebo Noah’s visit to the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital—has since been submitted.
He further stated that Ebo Noah is expected to reappear before the Adenta Circuit Court in the second week of March 2026 for case disclosure, during which the prosecution will present all relevant documents and evidence.
Addressing a viral video in which a woman claimed to be Ebo Noah’s mother, the lawyer dismissed the claim, describing the woman as an imposter with no familial connection to his client.
“The woman in the video is not his mother and has no relationship with him. His biological mother is not even aware of that video,” he said.
He concluded by urging the media to verify information thoroughly before publishing or sharing content, especially on social media platforms.
Ebo Noah’s Arrest
Ebo Noah was arrested on the directive of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, following widespread public attention surrounding his activities. Images of the self-styled prophet in handcuffs were later circulated by several media outlets, confirming his arrest.
Reports indicated that the arrest was carried out by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting Team, with Ebo Noah facing charges including false communication, deliberately misleading the public, and publishing false news with the intent to cause fear and panic.
Ebo Noah had earlier gained national and international attention after videos surfaced on social media showing him constructing multiple structures resembling arks in Elmina. The young man, whom many critics described as a content creator, claimed he had received a divine instruction from God to build an ark to save humanity from an impending global disaster.
According to his prophecy, a devastating flood was expected to destroy the world on Thursday, December 25, 2025, with his ark serving as a refuge for those who believed and sought protection.
In the lead-up to the date, he invited members of the public who accepted his prophecy and wished to secure a place in the ark to contact him.
However, on December 24, a day before the predicted catastrophe, Ebo Noah announced that the flood would no longer occur, stating that God had changed His mind after he engaged in fasting and prayers, and therefore would not destroy the world.
