The Ghana Police Service has taken proactive measures to ensure the security and integrity of the four outstanding constituencies in the Eastern region.
Following the conclusion of the general elections, these constituencies were sent to the Police Detective Academy at Tesano for collation.
Addressing the media after a tour to witness the security arrangements put in place by NESTF, ASP Richmond Mensah assured the public that enhanced security measures are in place, including a fortified security presence of police and military personnel to guarantee the safety and security of the collation process.
According to him, collation is currently ongoing, with one constituency successfully completed and three remaining.
ASP Richmond Mensah, a member of communication team of Ghana Police service reiterated the police’s commitment to providing maximum security to enable Electoral Commission officials carry out their duties without obstruction.
