Former Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Kwabena Owusu Aduomi says Electronic Levy (E-levy) has been introduced by President Akufo-Addo’s government to pay contractors in the country.
According to him, e-levy initiative is going to be implemented to fetch the country some sort of money to be used for developmental projects as well pay road contractors the NPP government owes.
“The Nana Addo’s government does not have enough money. That’s why e- levy has been introduced so that he can pay arrears of some contractors and also award new contracts. Our major problem in Ghana is our roads, about 92% of our roads are in deplorable state, which needs to be constructed urgently”. Mr Aduomi made this propounding on Oyerepa Breakfast Time moderated by BB, last Friday.
The former Ejisu MP, also advised his colleagues politicians to have respect for constituents and must invariably do what the people need to make live comfortable for them.
“Politics is not about bragging, it’s all about doing what your people like. Development is what our people like, so let’s make that our first priority. Let us respect them because they gave us the power”. He concluded.
