Former Education Minister and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has officially declared his intention to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer race.
In a national broadcast on Wednesday evening, Dr. Adutwum announced that he would pick nomination forms once the party officially opens the process.
“I believe the confidence reposed in me and the support I received during my time as Education Minister will endure,” he stated. “I am confident that both delegates and the Ghanaian people will back me to secure victory.”
Dr. Adutwum expressed deep gratitude to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the opportunity to serve in his administration. He also outlined his vision for Ghana, promising to be a transformational leader if elected President in the upcoming 2024 elections.
“I will build on the solid foundation laid by my predecessors to ensure sustained national development,” he affirmed.
The educationist’s announcement adds momentum to the evolving race for leadership within the NPP as the party prepares for the next general elections.
