In an unprecedented move, popular Ghanaian social figure Dr. Kwame Owusu Fordjour, widely known as Dr UN, has released a massive 100-track music album in honour of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.
According to Dr UN, the album, titled “100 Global Gold Songs”, was officially released on October 10, 2025, and is available on all major Digital Streaming Platforms (DSPs).
He described the project as a heartfelt tribute to celebrate the wisdom, leadership, and global impact of the Asantehene.
“I have 100 global gold songs on one album. I released the album today, 10th October, 2025,” he announced.
“I did the 100 Global Gold Songs just to honour Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.”
The ambitious project, which spans multiple genres including gospel, hip-hop, Afropop, and dancehall, features songs such as “I Breathe for Jesus” and “Global Gold,” among many others.
Explaining his motivation, Dr UN said he wanted to do something that had never been done before in the Ghanaian or even global music industry.
“I put all 100 songs on one album because I always want to do what someone has never done before. I did the songs to benefit society, poor people, our leaders, and everyone,” he said.
He revealed that he had recorded the first 10 songs before falling ill, but completed the remaining 90 songs after recovering, working tirelessly day by day to achieve the milestone.
“I had recorded 10 of the songs before falling sick, and I did the rest right after recovery. Each day, I had to record,” he recounted.
Dr UN made the revelation in an exclusive interview with Oman Ghana TV, where he expressed gratitude to God for the strength and creativity to accomplish what he described as a “global legacy project.”
