Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Obuasi East in the Ashanti Region, Mr Edward Ennin has expressed worry over how the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sidelined the former MP for Nhyiaeso constituency, Dr. Richard Winfred Anane.
“The fact that we don’t hear of Dr. Anane anymore means he has been sidelined.”
According to him, the former MP is a genuine person who does not condone bribery and corruption, the main reason he has been deserted.
“Richard Winfred Anane is a genuine man. I quite remember way back 2008 elections, this man coughed out GH¢ 2billion to do certain operations when the need aroused. He might not like the idea of me voicing out this, but I need to say it because he has contributed much to the party. We have to appreciate his efforts.” Mr Ennin made the pronouncement in an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time chaired by Bismark Brown.
However, the former Obuasi East MP advised politicians against the rate at which they embezzle tax payer’s money in this country. He indicated that such a bad act should be halted.
“Most politicians who misuse the taxpayer’s money do not have a good end. It’s either they use the money they earn to treat their sickness or their children become a problem for them. I will use this opportunity to advise my fellow politicians to be very careful about whatever they do when they are in power”. The MP advised.
