The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, paid courtesy visits on Tuesday to former Presidents Nana Akufo-Addo and John Agyekum Kufuor, as part of efforts to foster unity and strengthen the party following the conclusion of its presidential primaries.

Dr. Bawumia met with former President Akufo-Addo at his Labone office in Accra, where discussions centered on strategies to enhance internal party cohesion and the importance of drawing lessons from previous electoral successes. The meeting underscored the role of elder statesmen in promoting continuity and unity within the party.

Expressing gratitude for Akufo-Addo’s counsel and encouragement, Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his commitment to leading a united NPP ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Later the same day, he visited former President John Agyekum Kufuor at his Peduase residence. Both former presidents emphasized reconciliation, unity, and a collective focus on securing electoral victory, reflecting a shared vision for strategic preparedness and party solidarity.
