Former Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia, on Tuesday met with European Union ambassadors in Accra during a high-level breakfast meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Ghana and the EU.
The meeting brought together Heads of Mission from ten EU member states—Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malta—as well as officials from the European Union.

Discussions centred on key areas of mutual interest, including regional security, deepening economic relations and expanding investment opportunities in Ghana.

Dr Bawumia, who is also the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), reiterated his commitment to strengthening Ghana’s democratic institutions, promoting sustainable economic growth and advancing inclusive social development.
The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance Ghana’s partnership with the EU and explore new avenues for collaboration.
