The Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, has donated 1,000 bags of cement to the Muslim community in the Builsa South District of the Upper East Region.
The donation is in fulfillment of a promise made to the Muslim community by the Vice President when he visited the Builsa South District last Friday.
During his tour in the Builsa South District on July 26, 2024, he performed the Jummah prayers in the Fumbisi Central Mosque. A request for support was put before him to which he promised 1000 bags of cement.
Yesterday, August 3, 2024, and today, August 4, 2024, two trucks have delivered the 1000 bags to the Muslim Community through the District Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdulai Abdul-Hamid Yasaana, and his leadership in Fumbisi.
The donation is to help the Muslims in the Builsa South District to construct a fence wall around the Muslim cemetery in the area.
