The Paramount Chief of Tepa Traditional Area, Dr. Dr. Nana Adusei Atwene Ampem has enstooled the Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum as Development Chief (Nkosuohene) of Tepa Traditional Council.
Nana Aduse Atwenewa Ampem disclosed that this is an honoury Chieftaincy position conferred on the Education Minister due to the immense transformation that has taken place in Ghana’s Education system since Dr Adutwum assumed office as the Minister responsible for Education.
Addressing the audience present at a grand durbar, the Tepamanhene noted that the impacts of Dr. Adutwum’s transformational ideas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) has been felt not only in Ghana but globally, having begun the good move in the United States of America.
He divulged that, Dr. Adutwum aided the success of President Akufo-Addo’s Free Senior High School vision and needs to be applauded in this regard.
Dr. Dr. Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I emphasized that massive infrastructural development has taken place in the Tepa Senior High School and through the Minister’s vision Tepa has received a Teacher Trainee College. “These and many others have come to my recognition, finding the need to honor my son, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.”
“Today I confer on you as the Nkosuohene of Tepa Traditional Area with the stool name, Nana Yaw Adutwum I” he added.
The Education Minister was also honoured with a citation from the Tepa Traditional Council.
On his part, the Education Minister,Nana Yaw Adutwum I accepted the honour conferred on him and promised his allegiance to cooperate with the council to amass development for the area.
The Education Minister was honoured in a grand durbar after visiting the Tepa Senior High School during his final day of his four-day tour in the Ashanti Region.
