Tracy Roland, a former drug addict, has shared her harrowing experience with cocaine and urged the public to stay away from drugs.

Speaking in an exclusive interview during a drug abuse sensitization program organized by Chosen Rehab Center at Kaneshie Senior High Technical School, she said her addiction started five years ago. “I got involved with cocaine after a friend introduced me to it,” she recounted. “Eventually, the drug took control of me. I could no longer control myself, so I broke away from it.”

Tracy said she did not choose Chosen rehab on her own. Instead, a rescue team intervened. “They came to rescue me and help me out. Since then, I have really been sober, and I thank God for it,” she said.

She expressed gratitude for her recovery and for others who have survived addiction. “I thank God for helping me. I thank God for helping others because there are so many of us. Some have gone bad. Some got different sicknesses, and some even got themselves into different activities that ruin their life completely,” she explained.

Now sober, Roland says her faith keeps her strong. “I am so happy and grateful to be worshipping. I depend on Him to be able to stand firm and take care of myself single-handedly,” she added.

Her message to the public was clear and direct: “Don’t even try it. My regret is that I wish I knew. If I knew the first day, I wouldn’t have tried it. It is something that you cannot control. When you get yourself into it, before you know it, you get addicted.”

Roland hopes her story will discourage young people from experimenting with drugs and encourage those struggling with addiction to seek help.
