The District Chief executive of Afigya Kwabere South, Mr Christian Adu-Poku popularly known as APC has blamed the delay in the appointment of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCES) on the public boycott of their elections.
President Akufo-Addo has not been able to appoint the MMDCEs after 9 months in his second term of office.
Many Ghanaians however have chastised the President for the delay in the appointment of the MMDCEs.
But, APC says President Akufo-Addo is not reprehensible because the general public boycotted his decision of relinquishing power to the electorates to elect the MMDCEs.
According to him, Ghanaians should exercise patient enough for President Akufo-Addo to appoint the MMDCEs at his own will.
The DCE made the declaration in an exclusive interview with OyerepaFMonline.com
