The residents of Doninga community in the Builsa South District and Siniesi in the Builsa North Municipality have embarked on a communal labor to fix the deplorable Siniesi-Doninga road.
The residents, with financial support from the Member of Parliament for the Builsa South Constituency, Dr. Clement Apaak, and led by the former Assembly Member for Doninga Electoral Area, Mathias Akanbong, woke up early and braved the morning sun to refill potholes with stones and sand.
The deplorable road has impeded the movement of people, goods, and services, leading to preventable accidents and serious injuries.
The residents have endured bad roads for years without government intervention, prompting them to work on the road through communal labor on Thursday, August 29th, 2024.
The residents further lamented the hazardous effects of the road on their health and the countless accidents, stressing that their motorcycles have been developing faults due to the poor road conditions.
They complain that the government has ignored them over the years despite their pleas, denying them proper roads and taking a toll on commuters.
The residents, therefore, called on the government through the two Assemblies to come to their aid.
