Deputy Minister-Designate for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Suhuyini, ended his vetting before the Appointments Committee on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, with a symbolic gesture—gifting traditional smocks to each committee member.
After addressing questions on his vision and plans for the ministry, the Tamale Central MP expressed gratitude to the committee and presented the smocks, a distinctive attire of the Northern Region, as a token of appreciation.
“In the spirit of accountability, permit me to announce that my revered chiefs brought you a smock for me to present on their behalf. The same will be provided for all members of this committee, so perhaps at your next sitting, you will all be dressed in a Dagbon smock,” Suhuyini remarked.
Committee Chairman Bernard Ahiafor acknowledged the thoughtful gesture, responding, “Thank you very much. It is much appreciated, and I am most grateful.”
The presentation highlighted cultural appreciation and unity, adding a unique touch to the vetting process.
