The decomposed body of a woman, believed to be in her 30s, has been discovered at Kokrobite Beach in the Greater Accra Region.
The body was recovered in the early hours of Friday, February 13, 2026. Reports suggest that the woman may have visited the beach with friends or a boyfriend before allegedly being swept away by tidal waves.
Eyewitnesses told reporters that they first noticed the body floating in the water before it was carried ashore by the waves. They identified the deceased as a woman in her 30s, dressed in beachwear, noting that decomposition had already set in by the time authorities arrived.
The witnesses immediately alerted the police, who attended the scene, examined the body, and transferred it to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
Authorities are yet to confirm the woman’s identity or the circumstances leading to her death. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the incident.
