The Right Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Begbin, the speaker of parliament has tasked leadership of both sides of the house and administration of Parliament to ensure that, all declare their assets as contained in the constitution.
He made this pronouncement during his welcome address of the first sitting of the second meeting of the second session of the Eighth parliament of the fourth republic.
The Speaker also noted that, due to a ruling of the Supreme Court that strikes out standing order 109 (3) which prevents second deputy speakers from voting in the house whiles presiding. The house would have to restructure its way of doing business.
He explained that, the Parliament house alone cannot do that, but will require the assistance of the Academia and governance experts.
The second meeting is scheduled to for see some 69 bills before the house at some various stages.
