The Mmrantehene (youth Chief) of Debibi in the Tain District of the Bono Region, Nana Ababio Alexander has vowed to continue to assist the youth and the people in his community and its environs to become useful citizens in future.
As per him, when the youth are assisted, it would go a long way to make Ghana a better place to live devoid of social vices.
Speaking to the media, he explained that he sees great sports potentials in the youth at Debibi and its environs and if they are properly nurtured Ghana will receive a great deal of benefit from them.
In line with this, a mini stadium is being constructed at Debibi which is about 88 percent completed.
According to him, GHc 3.2 million would be spent on the project. As of now GHc 1.4 million has been spent on the sports center.
On Agricultural, he said, the area is predominantly farmers and that he has been given them farming inputs and financial assistance in order to inspire them to cultivate a lot more crops.
He reiterated that no community or nation can develop in an absent of proper and quality education. With regards to this a number of students are being catered for at both secondary and tertiary levels at his own cost.
Nana Ababio further expatiated that, currently three of the students are at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), two at University of Ghana (UG) Legon, three at University for Development Studies(UDS), four at Valley View University, two at University of Cape Coast and one at University of Energy and Renewable Science, Sunyani. Others are at the various traning Colleges, thus; college of eucation and nursing training college and number of SHS students are being supported.
He assured the people of Debibi when he was enstooled as the Mmrantehene that he would assist in constructing Debibi Methodist JHS which he has honored his promised and work is steadily going on.
He declared again that, some youth in the area have been assisted to get jobs in the cities of the country.
