The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie Central in the Ashanti region, Hon. Kwame Asamoah Boateng has cut sod for the construction of a Police Headquarters in the area.
According to him, the approach will help to curb criminal activities in Amansie Central.
“The police headquarters will help the district to get more officers to fight against crime in the district”. Hon. Boateng said.
In a short ceremony at the proposed site Jacobu witnessed by the traditional leaders and people in the district, the DCE Hon Kwame Asamoah Boateng expressed his gratitude to the police officers in the district for their massive contribution to strengthen security in the district.
He declared that the project is expected to be completed within 6 months, adding that the money for the project has been secured.
He therefore charged the people in the district to support the police to curb crime in the district.
The District Police Commander Superintendent Abdullai Iddrisu pledged that the police will continue to protect lives and properties in the district.
He therefore expressed his gratification to the DCE and the Amansie Central District Assembly for their contribution towards the fight against crime.
