Entertainment pundit Sally Frimpong Mann has sparked controversy with comments she made following the death of Ghana’s legendary Highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, suggesting that his passing would allow his widow, Akosua Serwaa, to finally “flourish.”

Speaking on Oyerepa Entertainment Review, Sally Mann argued that although Daddy Lumba’s death was painful, it had brought relief and a new beginning for Akosua Serwaa, whom she claimed had endured prolonged emotional distress during her marriage.

According to Sally Mann, Akosua Serwaa’s marriage was allegedly threatened by the presence of another woman (Odo Broni), a situation she believes caused constant turmoil in her life.

“Lumba had to die for Akosua Serwaa to thrive. If you look at the death of Jesus, it was painful, but He had to die to save the world,” she said.

She went on to describe Daddy Lumba as the source of the widow’s challenges, claiming that his absence would now give Akosua Serwaa the freedom to live peacefully.

“So I’ll say Daddy Lumba’s death was a good one. From all indications, Akosua Serwaa’s marriage was under threat because of another woman. Lumba was the problem, so once he is gone, it paves the way for her to continue with her life. Constantly, she was in trouble,” Sally Mann stated.

The entertainment pundit further argued that Akosua Serwaa has every right to celebrate her new phase of life, insisting that she sacrificed greatly for the late musician but was repaid with pain.

“Akosua Serwaa deserves every right to celebrate after Lumba’s death because she gave him her heart, her love, and supported him in every aspect of life, but it all ended up causing her so much pain,” she added.

Sally Mann also commented on Akosua Serwaa’s recent appearance, claiming that she now looks happier and more radiant.

“Akosua Serwaa is now flourishing. She has become so beautiful,” she remarked.

Her comments followed the arrival of Akosua Serwaa in Ghana after Daddy Lumba’s passing, where she was received by a large group of supporters who refer to themselves as Team Legal Wife.
