The High Court in Accra has confirmed that there is no record of a last will belonging to the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, widely known as Daddy Lumba, at the Probate and Administration Division.
This confirmation followed an official search conducted at the court’s registry as part of legal proceedings to manage the celebrated musician’s estate.
The registry search was initiated to establish whether Daddy Lumba had deposited a will with the High Court, including details such as the date of filing, the person who submitted it, and the lawyer who prepared the document.
However, in a response dated January 19, 2026, at 2:37 p.m., the Probate and Administration Division stated that no will filed by the late musician exists in its records.
The High Court document, duly signed and stamped by the Registrar, confirmed the absence of any such record in the court’s registry.
This development indicates that Daddy Lumba’s estate may be administered under Ghana’s intestate succession laws, unless a valid will is produced from another source.
The revelation introduces additional legal considerations for the family and legal representatives overseeing the late artist’s estate.
