Deputy Director General for Ghana Health Service[GHS], Dr Anthony Adofo Ofosu has made a statement that, Ghana cannot control the adverse aspect of COVID-19 in terms of oxygen support in case it gets to that level.
Speaking in findings of Ghana Frontline Health Service Assessments by Ghana health service and Alliance and Reproductive Health Right at Crystal Rose Ambassador Hotel in Kumasi he said, research has indicated that, most health facilities in the country have no oxygen supporting plant which is the main aspect of curing the severely affected patients and such situation is needed to be solved.
He mentioned that the country cannot contain the plague if it becomes adverse due inadequate PPEs and the public having unstable minds towards the COVID-19 vaccine hence not going for its vaccination. He said others fear to also go to the health centers for healthcare for the fear of the disease.
Dr Anthony Adofo however has called on the public to access health centres anytime they experienced health complications.
Director of programs for Alliance for Reproductive Health Right, Mr Nii Sarpey also called on individuals to seek for quality health care especially the pregnant women. He further called on Ghanaians to take the COVID-19 vaccine as it has no negative effects.
