The Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, Lawyer Kwame Asuah
Takyi, has advised Ghanaians to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities as the country prepares for upcoming elections.
Takyi emphasized the Immigration Service’s commitment to fair and firm border management, citing the service’s motto “friendship with vigilance.”
At a meeting with University Teachers Association of (UTAG) at Police Headquarters in Accra, the Comptroller-General cautioned officers to be civil with travelers while maintaining vigilance to prevent extremists from entering the country.
The Immigration Service has pledged to prevent individuals who may pose a threat to national security, including a certain Miss Kant, from entering the country. Takyi appealed to the public to support the service in maintaining peace and security during the election period.
As Ghana prepares for elections, the Immigration Service is committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for all citizens.
