AM Trust Company Limited has presented a brand-new 4×4 pickup truck to the Ashanti South Regional Police Command, headquartered at Asante Bekwai, today, September 11 2025, to enhance their operations in combating crime within the region.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, Rev. FPC Agyei, Auditor of AM Trust Company Limited, explained that the decision was motivated by the growing security threats in Obuasi, Bekwai, and surrounding areas.
“We realised that there are a lot of criminals operating within Obuasi and Bekwai, yet the police lack the necessary logistics to combat them effectively. That is why we decided to purchase this brand-new 4×4 pickup vehicle to support their efforts.”
“We are not going to relent in our support for the various security agencies. From time to time, we will continue to assist them in any way we can,” Rev. Agyei noted.

The Ashanti South Regional Police Commander, ACP Joseph Nyaaba, who officially received the vehicle on behalf of the Command, expressed gratitude to the company for the timely intervention.
“This donation has come at a crucial time. This vehicle, which now adds to our fleet, will go a long way to help us combat crime, especially armed robbery cases, in this area.”
“It will be assigned to experienced police officers who will ensure it is used effectively and maintained properly,” he assured.
Commander Nyaaba further pledged that the new logistical support would strengthen security patrols, boost rapid response, and reassure residents of Asante Bekwai, Obuasi, and neighbouring communities of maximum protection from criminal activities.
