Veteran Ghanaian hiplife musician, Nii Addo Quaynor, popularly known as Tinny, has encouraged dancehall artist Shatta Wale to fiercely respond to anyone who unfairly criticizes him.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM, which was shared on social media on July 18, 2025, Tinny described Shatta Wale as a peaceful individual who does not attack others without provocation.
He stressed that the dancehall star should not hold back when his image is being dragged, adding that it’s important for Shatta Wale to defend his name and set the record straight whenever he’s wrongfully accused or disrespected.
“I tell him to go all out. He should attack anyone who attacks him. Also, he should be at peace with anyone who is equally at peace with him.
“This isn’t about the Ga tribe because that is how everyone should live. He shouldn’t tolerate any form of nonsense, and that is the best way,” he said.
Tinny’s comment has sparked mass reactions on social media, with some netizens in support of the Hiplife musician’s statement.
While others are supporting Tinny’s statement, some netizens are slamming Nana Romeo for his line of questioning during the interview.
An account on X with the username @WKHKYD noted, “What does this Nana Romeo want from Shatta? He just wants to trend with Shatta, so at every opportunity, he wants to mention Shatta’s name to tarnish his name.
“Is Shatta mad to get up to insult anyone? As no one has insulted or attacked him, has he come to insult anyone? To even ask Tinny if it’s an attitude of Gas is bigotry. Such as an insult?”
Another netizen noted, “That’s the side of Ga’s people don’t talk about that much. Ga’s love people. They are very friendly and nice. And they are so funny. But they don’t entertain nonsense. Yes, everyone doesn’t, but they will go all out to match your nonsense. I’m not a Ga, but that’s sooo meee.”
