The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has assured residents that the 2025 budget will drive development and transformation in the region.
Addressing concerns about the budget’s impact on Ashanti, Dr. Amoakohene dismissed claims that projects in the region were not included in the financial plan.
“It is not true that projects in the Ashanti Region were left out of the budget. The government remains committed to infrastructure development and economic growth in the region,” he stated.
The minister emphasized that key projects aimed at improving roads, healthcare, education, and other critical sectors had been allocated funds. He urged the public to remain patient and allow the government to implement its plans for the region.
Dr. Amoakohene further noted that the administration is focused on ensuring equitable distribution of resources across all regions, with Ashanti being a priority due to its economic significance.
“The government recognizes Ashanti Region’s contribution to national development, and this budget reflects our commitment to addressing its needs,” he added.
