A Ghanaian man pastor, Eliezer Oswald Awuyeh has used the sad demise of Christian Atsu to encourage his church members to pay tithe.
Preaching to the congregation in a video available on this portal, pastor Awuyeh said people keep saying Christian Atsu gave to the poor and the needy so God should’ve used that to save a life from the deadly earthquake in Turkey.
According to the man of God, giving to the poor isn’t enough to save one from a catastrophe.
He said in his sermon that one has to pay tithe to God to qualify for safety from an accident.
Pastor Awuyeh claims God told humanity to pay tithe to him to save humans from certain happening but He did not urge mankind to pay tithe to the poor because, in times of trouble, the poor can’t save except Him.
The pastor however God directed people to give to the church so the poor and needy can come for it in the church.
He stressed that you can do every benevolent act but if you don’t give to the church, God won’t save you.
