The Calvary Charismatic Centre (C.C.C), has generously donated food items to the Ashanti Regional Association of the Blind ahead of this year’s Christmas festivities.
This act of kindness aimed to provide support to the association’s members and to celebrate the occasion with utmost joy.
Rev. Joshua Obeng, the esteemed Resident Pastor of the Calvary Charismatic Centre (C.C.C.), graciously presented the items to the association on behalf of the church.
Speaking to Oyerepa News, Rev. Oben emphasized the need for the donation.
“We donated these food items to our brothers and sisters in the association of the blind. We did this to show them that we care about them and to encourage them that the fact that they are handicapped in an area doesn’t mean no one cares about them.”
Recognizing the generosity of the church, Mr. Abdul Barsit Hamdan, the president of the association, expressed his gratitude to the church upon receiving the presentation.
“We thank the CCC for their support. This is not the first time. Every time there is a festivity, they call the union to come collect items on behalf of the members, and you know the members are variable, so when it comes to occasions like that, they do rely on people, and CCC has taken it upon themselves, even though we have not called on them. We appreciate what they have done and call on other churches to follow suit.” the president told Oyerepa News.
