Ghana Police Service has taken proactive measures to ensure public safety and security in the post-election period.
According to ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Head of Public Affairs Directorate, attributed that the Ghana Police Service, under the National Elections Security TaskForce, has implemented effective security measures to safeguard the country’s security.
The security situation across the country remains calm and peaceful, with security agencies under the National Election Security Task Force committed to maintaining peace and order.
In the last 12 hours, the police service has arrested 9 suspects in connection with post-election violence, bringing the total number of arrested cases to 115.
To address public concerns, ACP Ansah-Akrofi has urged citizens to report any security issues to a toll-free number.
She added that the Ghana Police Service has also emphasized its commitment to building trust with the public, recognizing the importance of transparency and accountability in maintaining public trust.
The Ghana Police Service’s efforts aim to promote public safety, prevent election-related violence, and maintain peace and order in the country.
