Some church members of the late Apostle Emeritus Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka have expressed their lack of knowledge about any court injunction seeking to halt the final funeral rites of the founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission.
The funeral rites are currently underway at Gomoa Mpota in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region, despite reports of a High Court injunction issued on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, seeking to stop the funeral arrangements.
Scores of sympathisers, family members, and church members from various branches across the country have gathered at the funeral grounds to mourn and pay their final respects to the late Apostle.
Speaking to Nana Ansah, some church members and funeral attendees said they were unaware of any injunction preventing the funeral from proceeding.
According to them, they will continue with the funeral activities and have called on the public to join them in honouring and celebrating the life and legacy of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
They further urged the public to disregard reports of the injunction, insisting that they have not received any official communication instructing them to suspend the funeral arrangements.
