The Warrior Chief of Senya Breku in the Awutu Senya West District, Nai Kwesi Gyan, is alleged to have cursed his wife, sister, and one other person to death following accusations that he was behind the killing of the Awutu Oshimpo Chief.
In 2018, the chief of Awutu Oshimpo was reportedly burnt to death in his room, an incident that led to the arrest of Nai Kwesi Gyan and three others.
However, after investigations, the Awutu Breku Magistrate Court reportedly cleared and vindicated all the accused persons.
Following his acquittal, Nai Kwesi Gyan allegedly placed curses on those he believed were responsible for his arrest. This later presumably resulted in the deaths of his wife, sister, and another individual.
Speaking in an interview, Nai Kwesi Gyan stated that indeed he invoked curses on those who lied against him, which led to his arrest along with the three others.
He admitted that the deceased later came to apologise to him, but it was too late for them, hence their demise.
The warrior chief, however, expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, friends, and family members who stood by him and offered support during his time in police custody.
