A serious accident occurred at Gomoa Assin Mampong in the Gomoa East District along the Winneba–Kasoa highway.
The crash involved a Kia truck with registration number GN-5315-13, heading towards Apam, and a Toyota Corolla private car with registration number GR-5934-15, heading towards Accra.
According to reports gathered by Nana Ansah, the private car made a wrongful overtaking manoeuvre and collided with the Kia truck, causing the truck to somersault.
Three occupants of the private car sustained injuries and were rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment. Fortunately, passengers in the Kia truck escaped unharmed.
In an interview, Mensah Robert confirmed that the Kia truck was loaded with foodstuffs and was en route to Apam at the time of the accident.
