A 23-year-old man, identified as Elvis Antwi from Agona Kwesi-Twikrom, has been confirmed dead, while six others are in critical condition following multiple accidents along the Gomoa Fetteh stretch in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to reports, the deceased, who was riding a motorbike, collided with a commercial urvan (trotro) with registration number GN 4754-19 in front of the Village of Hope Hospital.
The remaining victims were involved in separate collisions at different points along the same stretch of road.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the okada rider attempted a wrongful overtake, leading to the fatal crash.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at St. Gregory Hospital, while the injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the Village of Hope Hospital.
