The chiefs of Gomoa Fetteh in the Gomoa East District have announced a ban on the use of live bullets, drugs, and motorbikes during this year’s Fetteh Ahorba Festival celebrations.
Speaking to Nana Kwesi Quansah, the Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh, explained that after performing the necessary rituals to mark the Gomoa Fetteh Ahorba K3se Festival, the chiefs held a meeting with security agencies and agreed to enforce the ban.
He added that a dedicated parking area has been arranged for motorbikes to prevent any disturbances during the festival.
“Anyone who goes against the directives of Nananom will be apprehended and handed over to the police,” he warned, urging the youth and all festival attendees to comply with the regulations.
In a separate interview, some of the chiefs also called on Ghanaians and indigenes of Gomoa Fetteh to come and witness the rich culture of the community and contribute to its development.
They emphasised the importance of a peaceful celebration and urged attendees to avoid drugs or any behaviour that could disrupt the festival.
