Eight people, including two children, have tragically lost their lives in a fatal accident near the Kasoa tollbooth in the Ga South Municipality. Several others are in critical condition.
The crash involved a Sprinter bus with registration number GW 7455-18, travelling from Madina towards Kasoa, and a private Jeep with registration GR 7673-W, which was moving in the same direction.
According to eyewitness accounts, the driver of the Jeep reportedly missed his route and began reversing on the highway. The speeding Sprinter bus crashed into the rear of the Jeep, causing the bus to somersault multiple times, reportedly up to six.
Witnesses said the impact was so severe that several passengers were thrown out of the vehicle as it rolled along the road.
