The decomposing body of a man believed to be in his late 20s has been found at Gomoa Potsin in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The body was discovered near an electricity pole in the area.
He has been linked to an electricity transmission cable theft that led to a power outage on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in parts of the Blue House Estate.
The deceased, whose identity is not immediately known, was found near an electricity pole with a pair of pliers and a backpack containing other tools beside him.
Residents told Adom News that they noticed the power transmission cables had been tampered with and called the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to resolve the issue.
The Gomoa Potsin Watchdog Committee Chairman, Ebo Anderson, speaking in an interview, raised concerns about the increasing cases of electricity theft in the Central Region and urged residents to remain vigilant.
