The Member of Parliament (MP) for Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency, Mr. Elvis Morris Donkoh has provided filtered mechanized borehole facilities to some communities in his area.
Benefiting communities includes Aboase, Obohen, Esandorkrom and Abakrampa new site.
According to him, the provision of potable drinking water is one of his social intervention policies and “would extend same to other communities that are in dire need of water to enable the residents have access to good drinking water to improve their health”.
Abura Asebu Kwamankese legislator ade the proclamation during his usual visitation to communities in his constituency.
Residents who spoke with Oyerepa TV’s Wofa Sammy lamented the lack potable drinking water and the deplorable road network. According to them, majority of them mostly contract skin diseases and typhoid due to lack of potable.
They however, expressed appreciation to the MP for the gesture, adding that the water would go a long way to help reduce the challenges they go through in accessing potable drinking water.
On the other hand, the MP appealed to the constituents to take good care of the mechanized boreholes to prolong their lifespan.
