Ghanaian Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as LilWin, has received an honour from Burkina Faso’s military leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, following the launch of a movie centered on the Burkinabe statesman.
In a video posted on LilWin’s Instagram on August 5, 2025, the actor is seen being presented with an honorary gesture by the Burkina Faso ambassador to Ghana.
Expressing his appreciation on social media, LilWin thanked Captain Traoré for the recognition and praised his leadership, stating that it has helped inspire and strengthen the unity and spirit of Africans.
“I am humbled to have received this award from the president of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, through the Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Ghana. I appreciate it; your support strengthened the spirit of African unity. Merci beaucoup, Burkina Faso! Que Dieu vous bénisse tous,” he said.

On August 2, 2025, LilWin premiered his much-anticipated movie titled Ibrahim Traoré.
The movie talks about how Captain Ibrahim Traoré became the leader of Burkina Faso following a coup on September 30, 2022.
It also talks about Traoré being a symbol of anti-imperialist sentiment and youth-driven reform in the country.
