Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak, has donated mathematical sets to the Builsa South Education Directorate for onward distribution to students preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The NDC Constituency Secretary, Mr. Richard Kazi, presented a total of 732 mathematical sets to the education directorate on behalf of the MP. He reiterated the MP’s strong commitment to Education and Empowerment of the Youth and Women, who are often deprived.
According to him, Dr. Apaak sees education as a strong tool that can propel development in society and, as such, always directs his energy and personal resources towards these areas since 2017.
The Builsa South Education Director, Mr. Akanlisi Thomas, received the items and thanked MP Dr. Clement Apaak for making it an annual ritual to always support students with mathematical sets. He added that the intervention allows less privileged students to have first-hand use of these math sets before the examination day.
According to the Director, the donation was timely and will go a long way to support needy students and afford some the opportunity to learn its use before the examination.
He further pledged to ensure that no students would be left out in the distribution.
