The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Builsa South District of the Upper East Region, Hon. Daniel Kwame Gariba, embarked on a tour on Monday, 8th July 2024, to the two Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) centers within the District.
The DCE’s visit aimed to assess the conduct of the ongoing B.E.C.E and interact with the candidates, invigilators, and supervisors as part of the assembly’s commitment to improving education standards within the municipality.
He encouraged the students to remain focused and confident, assuring them of the assembly’s support in their academic pursuits. He encouraged the candidates not to panic in the exam room but to write the best that they can with confidence.
Mr. Gariba further made them aware that President Nana Addo’s free SHS policy is still in full force, waiting for them to pass so they can get absorbed in any SHS of their choice.
He ended his address by announcing to them that each student will receive one hot lunch a day for the entire duration of the exams.
This kind gesture was introduced by the DCE and has always been extended to all candidates since he became a DCE in 2017.
