The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Builsa North Constituency, Hon. James Agalga, through his constituency Chairman, Mr. James Achaab, on Thursday, 21st March 2024, presented a cash amount of GH₵5,000 to the good people of Wiaga Kpandema community as his personal contribution towards the construction of a bridge which the community members initiated.
The office of the Builsa North MP received an appeal from the Kpandema community elders seeking support to purchase bags of cement and other materials to aid in the construction of a bridge. This would replace the wooden bridge and eliminate the issue where their community is cut off from the rest of the Municipality, especially during the rainy seasons.
It is on this basis that Hon. James Agalga made the cash donation to support the community.
The Builsa North NDC Constituency Chairman, Mr. James Achaab, in his address, assured the community members of the MP’s commitment towards the development of Kpandema community and other communities in the constituency.
He further explained that the next NDC government would ensure that their deplorable road is fixed, just as the John Mahama administration extended electricity to them and many other hard-to-reach communities in the Municipality.
The Youth Chairman, Mr. Ayombil Jacob, on behalf of the entire community, expressed their appreciation to the Builsa North MP for his kind gesture and assured him that the community will use the money for its intended purpose.
Mr. Ayombil further prayed for God’s guidance and blessings upon the lives of the MP and his executives.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the government and the general public for more support to enable the community to complete the bridge before the rainy season, easing the suffering of the community members.
