The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has warned bribe givers not to attempt bribing police officers, as they will be exposed.
Speaking at an event where Gospel artist Grace Ashly presented a special song to the police administration, the IGP emphasized that police personnel are now more focused on performing their duties well to earn promotions.
“Anybody who attempts to bribe the policemen will be exposed,” the IGP warned. He explained that times have changed, and police officers are now eager to do their duty and get promoted while they are still alive. Gone are the days when promotions came only after an officer’s death, he added.
The IGP encouraged police personnel to continue their good work, assuring them that promotions will follow as a result of their dedication and hard work.
He praised the officers for presenting themselves well and urged them to keep striving for excellence.
